"How To Study the Bible"

          What you need to know

  • Is a powerful night of bible study and prayer

  • Did not have to attend the first one to attend this one

  • Every Secret Church Event has a different focus of study

  • This one is on the New Testament

                

  • Primarily for ages 13 and up

  • Nursery is NOT provided

  • Water, coffee and cookies provided

  • Tickets are $5 which includes the booklet of study

  • Tickets can be purchased Sundays, Wednesday nights or any day at the church office after March 21st

 

  • Bring your own bible/casual dress

  • There are 3 intermissions through out the night

 Secret Church at Northside

 Welcome to Secret Church, a ministry of Northside United Methodist Church, used by permission by The Church at Brook Hills. Here in this secluded place, under cover of night, we join together to study God's Word, the Bible, and to identify with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted even now in countless places around the world.

Why Secret Church?
 When we think of "church" in America, we think of going to meet at a building, singing, praying and hearing a message from a Pastor or teacher. But in many places around the world, "church" meets in a home, an apartment, even in secret. These small groups of Christ-followers often meet for many hours in study, prayer and fellowship, as it is dangerous to travel to "church" and they want to make the most of their time together.

Secret Church is our "house church," where we meet periodically for an intense time of Bible study--lasting 4-6 hours--and prayer for our persecuted brothers and sisters across the globe. This is not for the uncommitted or faint at heart. But if you desire to know God more deeply through His Word, and know His Church more fully around the world, then please join us for Secret Church.

Adults Only, Please
 We do not recommend Secret Church for those under age 13 because of the length of the study. Also, because some images of the persecuted church around the world used during the prayer time may be a bit graphic, parents should use caution when bringing minors to Secret Church.

Casual, All Are Welcome
 Dress for Secret Church is casual--come as you are. We welcome Christ-followers and others from around the area who may wish to study with us at Secret Church on these selected Friday evenings.

Offering for the Persecuted Church
 Each Secret Church meeting, we'll focus on the persecuted church in a different region of the world. Following a video update, you'll have the opportunity to be a part of a special offering which will help persecuted congregations in that region of the world through Brook Hills' Global Disciple-Making ministries. Participation in the offering is optional.
