• Married in 1972 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church
• Family includes our two grown children—Matt and D. Matt lives near Jackson Tn where he will soon be serving the area as licensed family practioner.
• D, and his wife Carmen along with our granddaughter, Anyssa live in Phoenix Az. where they are working in the field of telecommunication.
• I began a career in electronics / computers
• Earned Associate Degree in Computer Service Technology at Dyersburg State Community College

• Prior to ministry I owned and operated the Radio Shack in Union City.
• Answered the call to ministry 1997 in Shady Grove UMC, where I served as S.S. teacher, superintendent, chair of administrative council, MYF and worship leader.
• The call led me to prepare for ministry in the UMC as and ordained elder.
• During preparation served as minister to both Mt. Carmel and Trimble United Methodist Churches from 1998 to 2003.
• Served at Bells and Cypress United Methodist Churches from 2003 to 2007
• 2006 - Received Master of Divinity Degree at Memphis Theological Seminary. And, was commissioned by the church as a probationary elder.
• During our five years in Trimble she served as a substitute teacher for Dyer County Schools and was employed by West Tennessee Communications of Dyersburg. Also, during our time in Dyer County we became foster parents and experienced the joyful opportunity to minister to several children in crisis situations.
• During our appointment in Bells, Phyllis was employed by the Crockett County Schools to serve as a Pre-School Teacher’s assistant.
• We responded to God’s call for us to move in 2007 to Dyersburg First Methodist where I served for 2 year as Associate Minister. While there Phyllis was employed by Dyer County School System as the Librarian at Three Oaks Middle School
• The past couple of months have been a great time of celebration for Phyllis and I. First good news came when we learned that we would be appointed to Northside Methodist Church. Another time of celebration came when on June 1st I was ordained as Elder in Full Connection within the Memphis Annual Conference; several of the folks from Northside came to help us celebrate (Thank You!).
• We are both very excited that God has called us to be a part of the body of Christ at Northside Methodist.
• We look forward to a long and successful ministry with you and pray that God continues to bless each and every family.
